Happy 2012
Your Board for 2012 has met and outlined some things we wish to tackle this year. Top of the list is continued beautification. In 2011 we took steps to kill off the grasses at the entrance that had invaded our prevalent bermuda grass. This spring we plan to make sure the invasive grass is gone, aerate, and seed with bermuda to give us a nice lawn ASAP. To make this a success,we have completed the work on the irrigation (sprinkler) system to make sure it is reliable keep our grass AND plants watered. We are excited about turning the entry to something to be proud of. Keep an eye out for dditional work once the weather allows. We welcome any ideas on beautification and anyone who wishes to volunteer. Let us hear from you if you wish to get involved!
Bus rider pick-up
When waiting at the entrance to our neighborhood, please be aware of a couple things. 1. Parking on both sides of the entrance obscures visibility for those entering and exiting the neighborhood. 2. Please do not park on the grass, this will be even more important now that we have installed & relocated many sprinkler heads and overseed our new grass.
Auto Break-ins
There have been several auto break-ins (what law enforcement calls "smash and grab") and items have been stolen from the cars. Law enforcement and the Forensic teams are investigating. It is strongly recommended that if you park your car outside at night that you keep it locked and remove all items from the interior that would attract a thief.
Picking up after your dog
This subject continues to be an issue for many residents. As a dog owner you have the responsibility to pick up after your pet. Please do not allow your pet to leave a mess on the property of others! Be a responsible resident, carry a plastic bag, and police after your dog. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
Street Light Maintenance
If you should have a street light stop working at or near your home, please call Duke Power. They can be reached at 1-800-769-3766. They will schedule a crew to come out and repair the problem within three (3) days.
Street Repair
Greenville County has been contacted to provide repair of our streets in Churchill Falls. The County has us on the schedule to seal all cracks in our roadways once the temperatures turn warmer.
